A Conversation with Missouri Prairie Foundation

This past Saturday morning, Gary Funk, Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) president, had the privilege of addressing the Missouri Prairie Foundation (MPF) board of directors at their tent meeting near the High Lonesome Prairie, just a few miles from Cole Camp, Mo. MPF has been a great agency partner for CFO and a strong participant in CFO’s ongoing Stewardship Ozarks Initiative. This time, however, their board was most interested in how MPF could work with the Rural Schools Partnership.

MPF has posted a portion of this conversation on YouTube, and it is exemplary of the kind of brainstorming on potential partnerships that may have value in your community. If you are interested, please check out the discussion at www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCCigGoNbo . If nothing else, it will give you a glimpse of what CFO isthinking when the term “place-based education” is used.
